So have you seen Caramel Apple Milky Ways yet? Listen, I know that the stores push it – piling bag after bag of Halloween candy into the seasonal section in mid-August, when honestly, I’d still like to buy patio furniture! I’m lookin’ at you, Target. However, when surprises like bite-size Caramel Apple Milky Ways are …
Sometimes, you just need something simple. And chocolate. And more chocolate. Mint Oreo Truffles aren’t mind-blowingly complicated, or even all that original. A quick google search will show you all sorts of different versions of this treat. The thing is.. I needed an excuse to buy Mint Oreos. I do my best not to bring …
I’m going to preface this post by saying that when I’m stressed, I don’t always make the best food choices. My first experience with a Zagnut candy bar (outside of the movie Beetlejuice) came a few months ago when James and I embarked on a DIY project of sorts. You see, we overhauled our kitchen …
It’s time for another Fritos Friday! My favorite day of the week by far. This week, Casey from Good. Food. Stories. brings you Fritos Ballpark Toffee. I seriously cannot wait to make this for us. It sounds like my kind of thing, that’s for sure. Thanks, Casey, for joining me in Fritos Friday! When …
It’s my favorite day again: Fritos Friday! I swear, I will eventually move away from pushing Fritos into candy and dessert applications, but right now, I’m really having fun with it. I’ve been baking a lot of cookies lately. Don’t really know why. I’m that kind of baker.. I get into a mood, and I’ll continue baking in a certain ‘genre’ until I’m bored with it. Don’t get me started on the “Summer of Scones” last year. I may have been classified as ‘obsessed’ by my …
I haven’t been as excited to post anything to this blog in a long time as I am these Movie Theatre Cookies. They started out as just an inkling of an idea when James and I went to the cinema to see Tron: Legacy (visually beautiful, but not so much the plot).
I don’t know about you, but I can’t go to the movies without popcorn. With butter. It makes me sad to sit through a film without it. Oh, I know it’s horrible for you. I really do. But I love it. James prefers to have sweets when we go to the film. A “Super Squishy” (ICEE) or some Raisinets. And that’s where this idea first popped up. James got Raisinets that day we saw Tron. And he said to me, “Wouldn’t Raisinets be awesome in cookies?”. Yes, yes they would be.
